このヤフーブログ、アイラブオールディーズ、ですが、実は私が　2014/3/25(火)に開設し、2016/9/5(月) まで、毎日のように書きまくっていたブログです。テーマは英語の流行歌の歌詞解説。ご興味ある方は是非、どうそ。 さて、ブログを開設しようと思ったのは、末娘が婚約したので。愛娘は英語音痴ですが、婚約者は小学生時代を英国で過ごしています。お父様は銀行家で英国はじめ海外生活が長く、ご家族は英語が達者でいらっしゃるし、お父様は大学が独文とか、またオランダに長く在住しておられ、オランダ語も理解しておられます。彼と私は同い年で昭和２８年生まれです。つまりは二人ともビートルズ世代、ビートルズで気が合わないわけがありません。 従って私から娘の婚約者とお父様に対するご挨拶がわりに毎日、英語の歌をせっせと上梓した次第です。結局は７００曲くらいになりましたが、それはいよいよ週末は娘の結婚式、という日まで続き、その日が2016/9/5(月)というわけです。実はヤフー社の事情により近々に閉鎖の予定です。ブログの更新は既に機能停止されていますし、移行時期もあったのですが、あえてそうはしませんでした。理由はひとつ、婚約した娘が数日後にいよいよ結婚するので。ブログの最終目標が達成されたのです。 What A Friend We Have in Jesus 讃美歌３１２番 What a friend we have in Jesus, All our sins and griefs to bear What a privilege to carry Everything to God in prayer Oh what peace we often forfeit, Oh what needless pain we bear, All because we do not carry Everything to God in prayer.
