万葉窯とは／About manyogama

ここ、可児市久々利は日本書紀に登場する景行天皇ゆかりの地で、万葉集にも「泳宮（くくりのみや）」として詠まれています。このような歴史ロマン溢れる地に築窯するに際し、そこに相応しい名称として「万葉窯」と命名。

Kukuri, Kani-shi, Gifu Prefacture: our location was appeared on Nihon Shoki(The Chronicles of Japan) as Emperor Keiko stoped Kukuri on his trip in A.D.75. Also, Kukuri were inscribed on Manyoshu (the oldest collection of Japanese poetry). In assocication with the historical location, we name our Klin as “MANYOGAMA”.

「簡素の美」を求めて製作。意外性のある使い方で新たな食への興味と喜びを感じさせる作品を目指す。
I pursue “the beauty of the simplicity” on my pottery. My pottery delight and stimulate one's recognition at everyday mealtime.


京都女子大学短期大学部英文科卒業
1969年　岐阜県立陶磁器試験場に研究生として入場美濃陶器，磁器，釉薬の研究に従事
1978年　岐阜県可児市に築窯，黄瀬戸の研究制作
1984年　フランスにて土を素材とする立体造形を学ぶ
2005年　岐阜県オリベクラフトデザイン大賞で金賞
東京、各地で個展多数

山下幾太郎／ikutaro yamashita

用途にこだわらない陶芸を追求。建築物などからイメージを膨らませ作品に反映させる。
My work is not only for the functional application. I'm constantly inspired by space and architecture, therefore my work include it's sense.
